Johnson & Johnson's Ortho-McNeil Neurologics unit recalled two lots of 100-milligram Topamax, a prescription drug for seizures, after receiving complaints about an "uncharacteristic odor." The drugmaker thinks the odor is caused by the chemical 2,4,6-tribromoanisole. The recall, which affects 57,000 bottles, is not expected to result in a shortage.
