JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo are rushing to offer the wealthiest consumers credit cards embedded with a microchip. "Absolutely, we would beat Wells Fargo to market," said David Porter, general manager for Chase Card Services. Wells Fargo has announced its plan to offer such cards later this year. The new cards cater to Americans who travel abroad and have had difficulties using regular credit cards, which have a magnetic strip.
