A House committee in the Missouri Legislature is in the midst of debating a bill that would loosen restrictions on dog breeders, under a proposition approved by the state's voters last year and set to go into effect in August. The heated debate has often degenerated into name calling and misinformation on both sides over the bill that would eliminate several requirements including a mandate that veterinarians conduct visual inspections of breeding facilities twice a year.
