A New Jersey high school removed an Internet filter that blocked students' access to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender websites in response to a complaint filed by two students with the American Civil Liberties Union. School technology officials agreed to the policy change after a review of the sites being blocked by the generic LGBT filter. An official with the New Jersey chapter of ACLU said the group is not opposed to Internet filters, but it is concerned about limiting student access to legitimate information.
