Afghan President Hamid Karzai is being encouraged by Pakistan to wash his hands of his country's relationship with the United States, and instead turn to Pakistan and China in a bid to bring peace and economic prosperity to the beleaguered Central Asian country. Pakistan, India, Iran and Russia have begun to jockey for influence in Afghanistan as the United States prepares to draw down most of its troops by 2014.
