Interior Secretary Ken Salazar criticized Transocean for saying it achieved a safety milestone in 2010 and for giving bonuses to top officials. "At the end of the day, it was that complacency that created an oil spill that was pouring" oil into the Gulf of Mexico, Salazar said. Spill investigations showed the company was "at least at some fault with respect to what happened at the Macondo well," he added.
