A study from Emory University showed that people with low vitamin D levels had stiffer arteries and poorer blood vessel function, while a second report from Oregon Health & Science University found no link between supplemental vitamin D intake and the incidence of cardiovascular disease. The Oregon researchers said additional study is needed to determine the effect of vitamin D supplementation on the risk of cardiovascular disease.
