A YMCA survey found that 62% of parents with children ages 5 to 10 said their youngsters eat junk food as many as four days per week, while only 14% said their children get five servings of fruits and vegetables daily. The data show that 89% of parents said they have a healthy home environment, but 74% said their children do not get an hour or more of exercise each day and 46% said their children watch television for at least two hours on five or more days a week.
