The developers of CitrOSponge, a nanocomposite product that encourages bone healing and hard tissue regeneration, took top honors at the Nanotechnology New Ventures Competition. Citrics Biomedical will get $30,000 to further its invention, which developers say
acts as a scaffold for bone regeneration after a bone tumor is removed and degrades at a controlled rate.
