The 1971 movie "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" inspired Breaker Confections to launch Wonka-inspired candies such as the Everlasting Gobstopper and in 1980 change its name to Willy Wonka Brands. Now owned by Nestle, the subsidiary produces Wonka-themed treats including the Wonka Bar, and still makes use of the "golden ticket" concept, recently giving around-the-world trips to customers who found the gold wrapper.
