Experts say schools should turn their focus to preventing cyberbullying and teaching students digital responsibility, rather than protecting students from outside Internet dangers. Though much cyberbullying occurs outside of school, its effects can be disruptive and harmful to students. They recommend specific training for classroom teachers, plus clear school policies that promote positive digital citizenship and involve parents, student mentors and community groups in the ethical use of technology.
