A closer look at first-time CSR reports recently issued by KBR and Kohl's shows the ways in which reports can be tailored to address the concerns and needs of a company's users and stakeholders. KBR's maiden effort fails to incorporate much in the way of quantitative data, but it provides anecdotal support for the firm's CSR goals; Kohl's report, meanwhile, offers a data-rich snapshot of a well-established CSR strategy. "Each acknowledge that their maiden effort is just the beginning of a long sustainability road ahead," writes Tilde Herrera.
