Four out of ten consumers who download reader applications to their iOS mobile devices from sources such as Apple's iTunes choose to share their personal information with publishers when given the option, according to data from digital publishing technology vendor Yudu Media. The finding is good news for publishers seeking to monetize their digital content, for whom consumer data represents a treasure trove of valuable information. According to Yudu, numbers also suggest that users are paying to download more apps to their devices and are also making more in-app purchases.
