The government in Manitoba, Canada, approved a five-year plan to support children and adults who have autism spectrum disorders. The plan, called Thrive, will allocate about $1 million annually to fund 40 initiatives, including technology access and training for parents, college scholarships for high-school graduates and applied behavioral analysis for young children. Despite the support, some advocates worry that not enough funding is being devoted to services for adults with autism.
