A spokesman from the entity that operates Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport said that Delta Air Lines' announcement that it is closing facilities in Minnesota puts the airline in violation of its loan agreement. Delta will be required to repay the roughly $175 million left on the loan, but then it will no longer have any obligation to continue to employ people in Minnesota. However, Delta CEO Richard Anderson said Delta is "firmly committed" to Minneapolis-St. Paul in a letter sent to employees.
