Vanda Asapahu moved from Bangkok to Los Angeles two years ago to take over her parents' Thai restaurant. Though the restaurant was doing well, she sought to take advantage of new technology to energize sales. The key: quick response codes. Asapahu signed up for a service to make the restaurant's website, which wasn't at all mobile friendly, a home of promotions and information for those that used the code. Customers "want a good total experience, and this adds another dimension to the experience," said Asapahu.
