A Florida school district is embarking on a $30 million technology upgrade, which will include the hiring of 15 new technology specialists to help train teachers throughout the 2011-12 school year. Voters last fall supported a referendum creating a half-cent sales tax increase to fund the technology overhaul, as well as other construction and capital projects.
