Researchers reported in the journal Stroke that stroke care varies for racial and ethnic groups, including differences in awareness, treatment and rehabilitation. They said that ethnic minorities should understand their predisposition to risk factors for heart disease and stroke, and that blacks were more likely to have diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity, while Hispanics were more likely to suffer diabetes and metabolic syndrome.
