Body mass reduction in obese individuals may increase anti-inflammatory activity in the cerebrospinal fluid and partially correct dysfunctional glucose response in the hypothalamus, according to a study in the journal Diabetes. Experts said obese participants with reduced body mass had improved levels of anti-inflammatory agents interleukin-10 and interleukin-6.
