Hospitals & Health Networks reveals that this year's "Most Wired" health care groups are making significant strides in health IT use, with 67% of them ordering drugs electronically, 82% having the ability to recover clinical information after power outages and 100% having laptop data encryption. "Greater adoption of IT can bring important new tools to our efforts to improve the safety and quality of care in hospitals, and better coordinate care across settings," said American Hospital Association CEO Rich Umbdenstock.
