The Andersons has started using wheat in its corn-ethanol production process as a way to reduce costs amid tightening corn inventories, said Neill McKinstray, vice president of the firm's ethanol unit. Andersons, which has an ethanol-output capacity of 300 million gallons, has begun adding soft red winter wheat into its ethanol production process.
