Restaurant and grocery chains are increasingly remodeling their stores in an effort to revitalize brands and hold the interest of a fickle public. Darden-owned Red Lobster is aiming for a more upscale image with Maine-themed decor and wood-fire grilling. "Consumers have no attention span anymore, and they're just off to the next thing very, very quickly," said restaurant consultant Rick Van Warner.
