Hershey second-quarter sales rose 7.5% from the same period last year based on the volume gains of its Hershey's Kisses and Reese's peanut butter cups. The strong sales report was welcome news along with Hershey's announcement that it plans to open an R&D center in China to expand into the Asian market. Hershey also has markets in Mexico, India and Brazil as well as the U.S.
