The weeklong workshop focused on practical classroom activities using everyday items such as Popsicle sticks and rubber bands to engage students in lessons. "It's great to do these hands-on activities that we'll be able to use to get students more involved. With the engineering aspect of this, hopefully we'll be able to spark [the students'] interest," seventh-grade teacher Kara Gustafsson said.
