Boeing has surpassed its final hurdle toward approval from the Federal Aviation Administration for passenger service on the 787 Dreamliner. The first composite-plastic commercial jet in the world completed its flight-test program with a 90-minute trip Aug. 13. The FAA will review Boeing's paperwork on the Dreamliner, as it must be certified before its first delivery.
