A study of 47,000 U.S. black women found that those who delivered more children had an increased risk of estrogen or progesterone receptor-negative breast cancer compared with those who did not give birth or had only one child. But according to data published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, breast-feeding lowered the risk of the disease among black women who gave birth to at least two children.
