Enbridge said that it is planning to offer up to $70 million to acquire Tonbridge Power's Montana-Alberta Tie line transmission project, which would carry wind-generated power across the U.S.-Canada border.
Under Enbridge's proposal, $20 million would go to stockholder fees and about $50 million to debt servicing. Construction on the 214-mile transmission line project has been delayed by legal and legislative obstacles in Montana.
