Insulin pumps and blood glucose monitors may be susceptible to hacking, which may negatively affect insulin dosage in patients with diabetes, security researcher Jay Radcliffe reported in the Black Hat computer security conference in Las Vegas. Radcliffe said remote-controlled insulin pumps could be programmed to respond to an attacker's remote, while strong enough antennas may be used to intercept signals and make blood glucose monitors display old information.
