When Sara Sutton founded FlexJobs, a website aimed at helping job seekers find telecommuting jobs, she discovered the normal job-website model of generating revenue by charging employers to post jobs just wouldn't work. The job website market had become too saturated. Sutton decided to reverse the model by charging job seekers $14.95 a month and letting companies post for free. Her site has since surpassed 25,000 paid subscribers.
