McDonald's has been a food fixture at the San Diego airport for 15 years, but the chain says it has been pushed out of the current bidding process as officials aim to create a food and concession lineup that's heavy on local offerings. The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority board awarded more than 50 restaurant and retail leases last week, but McDonald's wasn't included because it failed to partner with an operator on a proposal, officials said.
