Changing school leadership can be a stressful process, with teachers worried the new principal won't understand their roles at the school, writes Cindi Rigsbee, a regional education facilitator in North Carolina. To ease the transition, teachers should help new principals however possible and allow time for them to get acclimated to the school. Incoming leaders should refrain from making large changes immediately and make sure to talk to the staff, she writes.
