Women who worked night or rotating shifts did not have a significantly increased risk of preterm births compared with counterparts who had nine-to-five jobs, according to a meta-analysis of 23 studies. Shift work was linked to a slightly higher chance of having a small-for-gestational-age baby, but the link was not strong, researchers said in the journal BJOG.
