With nearly two mobile phones for every resident, Saudi Arabian telecom companies are rushing to introduce the next generation of 4G networks. Zain Saudi, Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) and Saudi Telecom rolled out their services last week. "The mobile side is pretty much saturated, so operators are trying to convert pay-as-you go customers to contracts, tying customers into one or two commitments and bundling voice and data packages together," said Asim Bukhtiar, head of research at Riyad Capital.
