The Army Corps of Engineers said it has commissioned a study that will review its flood-control policy along the Missouri River. The study comes amid criticism of the Army Corps in light of flooding that caused widespread damage in many states. "I commend the corps for moving forward on this study and think it is very important for the corps to maximize water releases by early next year given that so many levees are in need of repair," said U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa.
