Microsoft is "rethinking" its strategy and may add its Office software to the new Metro interface at the heart of Windows 8 that is designed to run on tablets and desktop computers, CEO Steve Ballmer suggested last week. "I think they need something in Metro to enable people to work on documents on tablets. They need something on ARM," said Rob Helm, an analyst with Directions on Microsoft, a research firm.
