Reaching out to the right group of people with LinkedIn can help maximize your networking results, IT director Henry Hirschel says. Through informal research, Hirschel found that as much as 85% of people who responded to a LinkedIn message he sent about looking for a new job were people that he already knew professionally, not personal friends or other contacts. From this, he advises LinkedIn users to grow the number of contacts they have which they have shared a work-related experience with.
