Boeing is looking into the service-entry timing of its next 777-300ER and 787-10 variant as it responds to the Airbus A350-1000. Nicole Piasecki, vice president of business development and strategic integration at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said the 777 has been "an incredibly successful airplane family." She also said, "However, it will be challenged when the A350-1000 does come to market. It is our belief that the 777 family will be challenged, so we are going through conducting a wide-body study to understand what sort of improvements we will need to bring to market."
