Nicholas Calio, president and CEO of the Air Transport Association, explains that the Federal Aviation Administration's proposal that would change the way carriers schedule their pilots is troublesome. Calio also says the proposed rule is not based on science. "The rule could eliminate between 12,000 and 27,000 direct U.S. airline jobs, and has the potential of eliminating up to 400,000 related industry jobs," Calio writes.
