Proactive communication is key to responding to a natural disaster and keeping business running as close to normal as possible, said Jeff Dudan, founder of cleanup company AdvantaClean, which has seen a spike in calls since Hurricane Irene hit the East Coast. Dudan said he hosts phone calls and sends e-mails to make it clear what everyone at AdvantaClean should be doing.
