Businesses that take advantage of geoinformation will be on the cutting edge, according to the new book "Why 'Where' Matters," by Dr. Bob Ryerson and Dr. Stan Aronoff. The pair contend that those who become proficient in collecting, storing and analyzing geodata can learn to do more with less or improve the quality of a product for the same price by increasing efficiencies. Resource scarcities, climate change, globalization and the need to improve infrastructure are likely to be drivers of geospatial data use in the years to come, the book argues.
