A study found 29.5% of patients diagnosed with depression who did not respond fully to medication achieved symptom remission through exercise, researchers reported in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry. Author Dr. Madhukar H. Trivedi of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center said more patients who did longer, brisker workouts improved compared with those doing easier workouts, but also were more likely to drop out of the study.
