About three in 10 businesses report that they experience regular cyber-attacks, while about 70% say they have been targeted at least once in the past year, according to data from Symantec. The security vendor polled security professionals at 3,300 companies around the world and found that about half say they worry more about external threats such as hacking, compared with 44% worried about intentional insider breaches and 46% concerned about accidental data leaks. According to the respondents, next-generation computing trends such as mobile access, social media and the consumerization of IT have made it harder for them to manage risk.
