Comcast on Friday announced a statewide program to provide low-cost computers and Internet service to students from low-income households across Michigan. The company's "Internet Essentials" program, which now serves 39 states, also offers training in digital literacy to families. "We know that we can make a difference in closing the digital divide," company Vice President Bret Perkins said.
