Schools across Pennsylvania are teaching students about the terrorist attacks of 9/11 in various ways. Near the crash site of United Airlines Flight 93 outside of Shanksville, Pa., students are familiar with the events and will study broader themes of terrorism and patriotism. For younger students who have no memory of the events, documentaries, personal stories and silent reflection will be used to teach students and commemorate the attacks. Some schools, however, won't specifically mention the 10th anniversary and incorporate the attacks and corresponding topics throughout the curriculum.
