Consumers responding via SMS to print and digital ads will be able to receive on-the-spot digital coupons through their loyalty cards for retailers and brands under a coupon network from ShopText and AOL Shortcuts. "Virtually all consumers send text messages on a regular basis," said Shortcut General Manage Tara Trocki, and the new service leverages that activity to make coupon availability and redemption more convenient.
