3PLs continue sustainability push despite limited business impact

The sustainability movement among third-party logistics providers is genuine, but green credentials have not helped with attracting business, according to Northeastern University professor Robert Lieb. Research found that 16 of 36 CEOs said they introduced sustainability programs last year, but that "'Green' is still of limited significance in getting and maintaining 3PL contracts." Still, 3PLs think that the green focus will eventually set them apart, Lieb said.
