The ANA criticized the judicial system of Bahrain over prison sentences given to 20 medical personnel, including nurses, working at Salmaniya Medical Center for treating political protesters. "Nurses and other health care professionals worldwide must remain free from political persecution to carry out their professional and humane duty to provide care to all people, regardless of ideological concerns," the ANA said in its statement.
