BP Wind Energy will develop a 419-megawatt wind farm next year near Wichita, Kan. The $800 million Flat Ridge 2 wind project, which will contain 262 General Electric turbines, is expected to be Kansas' and the company's largest wind facility upon completion. BP hopes to break ground within three months, with commercialization before 2013.
