CSX and Norfolk Southern's on-dock rail services are seen as one of the assets of Georgia's Port of Savannah and have helped it outpace the Port of Miami in terms of trans-Pacific cargo that eventually goes to Florida. However, the Miami port is now considering strategies it learned from the Savannah port to "win back" business it has lost to the only Class I-served port on the East Coast, said Port of Miami Director Bill Johnson.
