Columnist Rob Blackwell writes that although he's not particularly in favor of Bank of America's decision to charge a monthly fee for customers who use their debit cards to make purchases, it's not right to say the bank should be punished for its move. President Barack Obama suggested that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau should do something to eliminate or at least limit such fees. "It might be tempting to just write off Obama's comments if they didn't undermine one of the president's signature achievements: the creation of the CFPB," Blackwell writes.
